Diversity Management
The course Diversity Management will be offered in summer semester 2022.
The course Diversity Management teaches the basics of corporate diversity management. The course is recommended for students who are looking for a leadership position in an international company or organization and want to learn how to effectively lead diverse teams.
It's all about understanding how the diversity of a company's workforce can be measured across dimensions: Gender, age, cultural background, sexual orientation, religion as well as professional and academic experience can be used constructively to achieve the company's goals.
The special role of the corporate and team culture, which the manager must shape accordingly, is also addressed. The course provides the necessary theoretical background, which is supplemented by concrete case studies and best practice cases from corporate practice.
The offered courses take the form of an integrated block course with a sequence of theory and practically designed exercise blocks, in which course contents are summarized and deepened
The workload of the students corresponds to 180 hours (6 ECTS) each. These are divided as follows: Presence time 60 hours, preparation and follow-up 60 hours, exam preparation 60 hours.
The form of examination is a written elaboration and a corresponding presentation.
The module is designed for industrial engineers in the Master's programme and students whose examination regulations allow them to take this module, such as Sustainable Management.
Learning Objectives
The students of the Diversity Management module have an overview of diversity management and are able to understand and constructively apply how to deal with the diverse backgrounds of employees in a company. The course is conducted interactively.
The course imparts professional competence (25%), method competence (10%), system competence (15%) and social competence (50%).

In case you have taken part in the voting for participation, please check this e-mail address. You can still register for the waiting list in the ISIS course.
