The Industrial Engineering and Management Degree Programme

The programme in Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technical University has a long tradition and was the first of its kind to be offered in Germany in 1926. Today, it is one of the most renowned and, with over 2,500 students, one of the strongest degree programmes at the Technical University of Berlin.
Its success is essentially based on the interdisciplinary educational concept, which is based on theoretical and practice-oriented questions with the inclusion of technological, economic and social references. The comprehensive study programme leads to an education that is unique in its breadth and of a very high standard in its depth. The basis for this is provided by the excellent technological, information technology and economic courses offered by the chairs of the Technical University of Berlin participating in the training.
Graduates who work in an interdisciplinary and competent manner, who are able to work in a team, who enjoy communication and who are trained in analytical thinking are sought by the practice. Mature personality traits and a high degree of commitment, entrepreneurial thinking and leadership skills round off the profile of success. Recent studies prove the success of this training concept - especially the reputation of our graduates among personnel managers of leading companies is excellent. It is certain that graduates of industrial engineering from the Technical University of Berlin will continue to be sought-after career starters with above-average career opportunities in the future. The level of performance and the associated opportunities of the industrial engineering degree programme at the Technical University of Berlin inspire first-year students and advanced students alike.
For the structure of the Master's programme in Industrial Engineering and Management, current professional developments were taken into account, which can be deepened in various technical fields of study. A comprehensive compulsory elective area rounds off this individual specialisation. In addition, there is a free elective area where students have the opportunity to take courses in sciences unrelated to the subject.
