Research associate to support the international research project ASONG

The Chair of Logistics is looking for a research associate (m/f/d), full-time employment, to support the international research project ASONG - Affordable Sustainability for Logistics Networks in Ghana.

ASONG aims to make logistics education more practical in cooperation with local universities and companies. The work will be done in close cooperation with colleagues from Ghana (and other African countries). The tasks comprise the organization of events for industry and academia and the contribution of own knowledge and creativity to the research.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Technical-economic research in the context of international cooperation with countries with low basic income (esp. sub-Saharan African countries)
  • Networking and exchange with other DAAD-funded projects
  • Independent implementation of practical case studies, system planning and research projects in cooperation with Ghanaian project partners

Among other things, you should be willing to regularly travel to Ghana and to project partners and demonstrate a high level of motivation, team spirit and flexibility.

Student assistant to support the international research project ASONG

The Chair of Logistics is looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) for 40h per month to support the international research project ASONG - Affordable Sustainability for Logistics Networks in Ghana.

The work will be done in close cooperation with colleagues from Ghana (and other African countries). The tasks comprise the organization of events for industry and academia and the contribution of own knowledge and creativity to the research.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Collection and analysis of data in relation to the region or German-Ghanian logistics networks (30%)
  • Research work on the logistics sector in Ghana as well as on current sustainable solutions of logistic challenges and their applicability (30%)
  • Support in the preparation of research meetings with research partners and governmental organizations(25%)
  • Support in the preparation of workshops for partners from industry and academia (15%)
