Double Master's Programme in France

The aim of the double master's programmes is to get to know the French study structure and to obtain a second master's degree from a renowned university in France. Above all, however, the two-semester stay serves to explore the country, people from all over the world, culture and language. Experience has shown that stays abroad are very rich in experience and horizon-expanding and are therefore highly recommended. Have fun!

The double Master's programme enables students to obtain two Master's degrees with only a slight extension of the study duration.

All students with an interest in France and French studies are encouraged to prepare for their exchange at an early stage and in consultation with the Chair of Logistics and the International Office. This enables a targeted course selection and thus increases the chance of nomination as well as a successful stay abroad.

There is currently a double master's programme with Toulouse Business School (TBS) and CentraleSupélec.

A minimum language level is not specified, but French language skills are considered an important selection criterion (B2 level is recommended). Part of the interview will be held in French.

Admission Tests

No further admission tests are required.

For which specialisations in Industrial Engineering is the double master offered?

All double master's programmes are offered for all specialisations in industrial engineering at the TU Berlin.

Which courses must be taken beforehand?

The best way to find out which courses you have to take at the TU Berlin and which at the host university is to consult the curricula. In principle, there is no explicit list of courses that have to be taken before the stay abroad. However, you should make sure that you take approx. 30 ECTS per semester so that you can keep to the standard period of study.

How many places are offered?

Up to 5 exchange students are accepted per year and programme.

Procedure

Application deadline
January

For the start of studies in September, the application deadline is in January of the same year. Please note the exact dates in the announcements. The complete application documents must be submitted to the International Office by this date. These will then be forwarded to the person responsible for the programme.

Interviews
February-March

The interview will be conducted by Prof. Straube as the person responsible for the programme and will be held partly in German and partly in French.
The interview will focus on: Motivation to participate in the double Master's programme, knowledge about the partner country and university as well as the curriculum vitae so far. In addition, the course of studies and the courses to be taken can also be discussed.

Nomination (preliminary acceptance)
March - April

The nomination is usually sent to the selected students by post by the responsible university lecturers at the TU Berlin or by the International Office. At the same time as the nomination, the partner universities receive the ERASMUS documents of the applicants.

Final acceptance
April- June

After the positive decision of the partner university, the applicants are provided personally by the partner university, via the university teachers responsible for the programme or via the International Office with further information material and registration documents (Letter of Acceptance).

Which application documents must be submitted?

All forms can be found on the International Office page: shortlink www.tu.berlin: 160069 or Application & Forms (tu.berlin)

Application documents (CV-Motivation Letter) must also be submitted in the language of the partner university or at least in English.

Where and how must the credits earned abroad be submitted?

The list of grades of the academic achievements must be submitted to the examination board/examination supervisor. Here you will find the official regulations for the recognition of academic achievements (currently only available in German). In the case of the double master's programme, the "Learning agreement" is stipulated in advance and only needs to be signed by the head of examinations and then submitted to the examination office. If an internship was completed abroad and this is to be recognised by the TU Berlin as a specialised internship, the internship guidelines of the GKWi apply. This means that internship reports and weekly certificates must be submitted, which must be reviewed and recognised by the examination supervisor.
