BestLog: EU Logistics Best Practice Platform

Lupe

The aim of the project is to establish a publicly accessible Europe-wide logistics and SCM best practice platform for the international and cross-sector exchange of "good" logistics solutions. On the one hand, these are to be incorporated into a European Logistics Sustainability Certificate in order to create standards and, on the other hand, into logistics education and training in order to ensure Europe's sustainable competitiveness. The platform should continue to exist as a non-profit and self-financing institution after the end of the project.

The goals in detail:

  • Harmonisation of people, environment and profit in the target system of companies
  • Providing best practice case studies for companies of different sizes and industries to enable users to manage best practices across departments or companies.
  • Establishment of a network of experts through cross-sector, international workshops
  • Efficient transport to reduce external effects
  • Europe-wide dissemination of logistics competence in logistics practice and logistics training by gathering best practice case studies
  • Standardisation
  • Creating economic growth and employment as a long-term consequence
  • Initiation of solutions for the harmonisation of legal regulations and corporate decisions
